Lately, speculation has been rife about Chitrangada Singh and her husband Jyoti Randhawa filing for divorce at a court in Gurgaon. Many news reports claimed that the couple, who have been married for 12 years and also have a son, Zorawar, mutually consented to part ways after going through a rough patch for a long time.

It was also reported that the court had asked them to reconsider their decision and scheduled the next hearing for November 11.

However, Chitrangada’s spokesperson says that all these reports are false. “These rumours been blown out of proportion. Chitrangada was not contacted for a clarification. The entire incident has disturbed her and her family,” she says.

The spokesperson adds that the actor’s recent frequent trips to the family court have nothing to do with divorce.

“There was an internal settlement of a property issue because of which the family was in and out of the courts and this led to a speculation on other matters. Hope this puts all the rumours about her relationship to rest for good.”

Actor Hrithik Roshan, who has been working on his physique for a distinct look in Krissh 3, feels he has the best body in Bollywood, and would like to pass on some health tips to everyone on fitness.

“I think I have the best body in Bollywood,” the 39-year-old said at a book launch event in Mumbai.

“There are some really good action scenes in Krrish 3. You will see me jumping from tall buildings, doing nice punches and kicks,” he said.

The movie directed by Rakesh Roshan also has Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranuat and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.

International trainer Kris Gethin, who has helped Hrithik achieve fitness for Krrish 3, launched a book titled ‘The Bodybuilding.com: Guide to Your Best Body’.

The actor said he would love to recommend this book to everyone in Bollywood and pass on the health advice to all including his fans.

“One need not starve to get a perfect look. One needs to be happy with their body,” he said.

Hrithik Roshan will be seen next in Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang with his Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star Katrina Kaif. It is a desi remake of English film Knight and Day.

“We will start shooting for it in five days. I am looking forward to it,” he said.

Actress Sonam Kapoor says she is currently single and her father Anil Kapoor is the most important man in her life.

The actress was linked to her ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ director Punit Malhotra but they never confirmed it publicly and now there are rumours that they have parted ways.

When asked to comment about it at a press conference here, the actress said, “I don’t react to rumours. I am single… there is no man in my life. I am happy and fortunate. As of now my father is the most important man in my life.”

Sonam said her brothers Harshvardhan and cousin Arjun Kapoor are always with her

“I have six brothers who are protecting me… they have a huge built up. I love them all,” she said at unveiling of L’Or Sunset’, a makeup collection by L’Oreal that is inspired by Bollywood. The actress will walk the red carpet at the Cannes film festival as the face of the cosmetic brand.

Sonam will next be seen in another love story by Anand L Rai’s ‘Raanjhanaa’ where she is cast opposite South superstar Dhanush.

Sonam rues that though she has learnt classical dance, she never gets a chance to showcase her skills onscreen.

“I don’t get to do Indian dance in my films… I feel bad about it. Like for ‘Raanjhanaa’, I had to beg to my director to allow me to dance. And I got to do a good dance song in the film,” Sonam said.

As far as dancing is concerned, Sonam looks upto her aunt Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Waheeda Rehman.

“The way they danced was so beautiful. Like today for rain dance one will be dressed in short clothes while earlier they used to wear sari. It looked so elegant…pleasant,” she said.

She also likes Katrina Kaif’s ‘Chikni Chameli’ and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Dhumtana’ from ‘Om Shanti Om’.

The VIP stand is empty. “Will he come in today?” Everyone wants to know. Suddenly a message crackles on the wireless: “Shah Rukh Khan is in the building, he is coming up, get ready.” He walks in with his entourage, with strict instructions to his personal security, ‘No pushing anyone, be gentle to everybody.’

For SRK, this season of IPL has been an exercise in image management. Besides keeping his appearances decidedly lowkey, he has also kept his children away from the glare of the media. With Aryan in London, it is Suhana who has kept him company. But SRK has not let her out of his sight at all. As for the speculations about a fallout between his friend and franchise partner Juhi Chawla, on Friday, SRK simply walked in and hugged her and her husband Jay in the air-conditioned lounge. None of these images will ever make it to the media.

Back at the stadium, the PA systems announce his arrival as he takes up his favourite spot on the balcony. The crowd is up on its feet, frantically taking his pictures as he waves out to them. The match is relegated to the background. The stand is dotted with prominent faces – Usha Uthup, Raima Sen, Rituparna Sengupta. SRK plays the host, alsmot as if they are visiting his home in Mumbai.

The crucial match draws to a close, and SRK watches his team glide to a victory from the boundary line. If he is ecstatic, he is also restrained in his expression. Only those closest to him know what is going on in his mind. Right after the victory, Aryan calls him from London to congratulate him.

At a media event later the same evening, he regretted not being at all the matches this season. “…because of my work,” he explained, adding, “Being at work and thinking about the game would be like Gautam Gambhir batting and thinking about movies. It is cheating, but yes, I have missed being here. I have to thank the people of this beautiful city who have opened their hearts for us and given me Jayand Juhi so much love.”

The night was still young when SRK joined the rest of the team for an after party. If he was tired after a marathon day, he did not show it. “Shah Rukh you are wanted on the dance floor,” a team member whispered in his ears. He readily agreed.

The crowd made way for him, the DJ switched to songs from his films – Dil Se, Yes Boss, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Don and RA.One – began to play out. SRK danced with everyone for nearly three hours. But just when you thought that the 47-year-old, now sweating profusely, would call it a day, he climbed up a fourfeet-wall next to the DJ console, and danced there for the next 10 minutes. A source close to the star told Mirror, “You will not see him getting as ecstatic about any of his films. It is sports that bring out the child in him. When he goes to meet Aryan and his friends in London, they all know him as the owner of an IPL team. It means a lot to those kids, and makes him proud and happy.” SRK will be back in Mumbai to shoot for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor found himself in a tricky situation on Saturday morning. The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor was detained at the Mumbai International Airport.

According to reports, Ranbir was returning from London to Mumbai, and had not declared the duty-free items that were with him.

Ranbir was enquired by the airport authority officials for three hours.

A fine of Rs. 50,000 has been levied on him and then only was he released.

The actor remained unavailable for comment.

In the past many actors including Bipasha Basu, Ekta Kapoor,  Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have also been detained for carrying undeclared goods.

Invoking “humanitarian” grounds, actor Sanjay Dutt moved the Supreme Court on Monday seeking six more months to surrender so that he could complete his film projects. The court had on March 21 granted the actor four weeks to surrender to serve his remaining three-and-a-half-year jail term for illegally possessing arms in the 1993 Bombay serial blasts case.

In his plea, Dutt claimed that producers had invested around Rs 278 crore in his ongoing film projects, and he needed at least 196 days to complete these.

“This court may extend the time to surrender in terms of order dated March 21, 2013, by a period of six months upon an undertaking of the petitioner to surrender on expiry of the extended period and upon such terms and conditions as this court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case,” said the application, which is likely to come up for hearing on Tuesday.

Dutt made it clear that the plea was “based entirely on humanitarian ground” as it seeks to invoke extraordinary jurisdiction of the apex court under Article 142 of the Constitution. “Unless the prayer of the petitioner is granted, he and others would suffer serious loss and prejudice and livelihood of several families would be affected,” said the application.

The actor also highlighted his contribution to society, saying he donated crores of rupees to the Prime Minister’s welfare fund and worked towards rehabilitation of tsunami victims.

On the question of filing a review petition against the SC verdict, Dutt contended that he was still soliciting legal advice on the issue.

Meanwhile, three other convicts in the blasts case — Zaibunisha Anwar Kazi, Issaq Mohd Hajwane and Shariff Abdul Gafoor Parker alias Dadabhai — have also moved the apex court for extension of time to surrender. They pleaded that the time limit fixed by the Supreme Court be extended till their clemency plea is decided by the President.
